The blog’s aim to collect basic information of the religious orders in early modern Hungary and draw attention to related future conferences, events, studies and publications (in Hungarian language). The nucleus of the blog will be an introduction to the history and spirituality all 25 orders, with brief and illustrated encyclopedic summaries. Other topics will include the main issues would be 17-18th-century religious life in Hungary (novitiate, profession, choice of name, chapter, province, superior, visitation, traveling, prayer, meditation, liturgy, spiritual exercises, library, archives, religious habit, eating, funeral), activities of the members of religious communities (parish, pastoral care, mission, catechesis, shrine pilgrimage, confraternities, school, homiletical publications, medical attendance, agriculture, loca credibilia, etc.).
